Poetry Slam Workshop with Marc Smith the Originator of the Poetry Slam Movement

Mixin Mingle (http://www.mixinmingle.com/) will host a Poetry Slam workshop with the founder of the Poetry Slam Movement Marc Smith. The Chicago Tribune recently published an article about Marc so we decided to invite him to Woodstock, IL to perform some poetry and teach us about the slam.

This five-pronged program will consist of a poetry performance, a brief history of Slam, a performance exercise, a writing exercise, and a Slam. The winner of the slam will receive a $10 gift certificate.  Cost is $15 or one punch per person. Call 815-308-5170 for more information and to register.
